2055

Boring..but I did see it all the way through which says a lot so keep it up...i beat this in 2055seconds....so 35 minutes shit that took up more time then I thought. but it did get way too easy by wave 8. I'd work on the difficultly and maybe have more penalties..its no fun if nothing bad happens..ever

Good idea but..

The game lacks any skill or thought process. The people drop dead and vanish on whim and its really hard to click an drag them around to force them to reproduce. There is a basic foundation laid down right now but I don't think its ready or perfected yet AT ALL.

Bad mechanics

The black mouse is off and causes you to lose for cheap reasons. Enough said really. and there is no point to this game. its like like a shrunk down maze since you have to watch the same thing in reverse.

Could Have been better.

This game is very very well thought out and if you will excuse me for a moment, THIS GAME IS FUKKIN SWEET!. The Breaking News isn't too advanced since natural occurrences doesn't really do anything too noticeable, Madagascar is the most paranoid island ever, and the Middle East is apparently the filthy whore. The 3 choices of Virus Bacteria and Parasite is a fun thing but when you boil them all down, It controls speed. So if you want a very short game you go to virus and so on.
The choices for symptoms were interesting but then later turned rather annoying when your waiting for evolution points from 4 to go to 22 so you can buy Hemorrhaging, but then you forget that you have to first pay for not only 10 but then the 15 extra points just to unlock the damn thing, and then your whole plan comes crashing down. And while I'm on unlocking tiers, WTF is up with how when you unlock a new tier you have a chance of getting any of the new symptoms, its like if your buying the next tier from the dealer, which is what I'm presuming is how you get the chemicals and such, and he just throws the viles of symptoms at you and one breaks, and that makes your virus break out and now all the other countries get pissed about it. You see when me and my friends back home play this we go to parasite on the sped up time and just wait, slowly working up our viruses under everyone's noises. And then people begin to worry and wonder why the fever won't go away. But I digress, what I'm trying to say is, this game can be greatly improved on, it is a very fun game and has a lot of great ideas, but you need to go more in depth with the Breaking News and how a Country would realistically go about containing a virus outbreak. Maybe even add in little animations showing the population slowing being infected, and maybe depending on the combination of symptoms you activate, have a different animation. For example, if you have Vomiting, Neurosis, and Insanity, I call it the T-Virus, you could show zombies. There should also maybe be an unlockable mode where you can have as many points as you want for more sandbox fun. Make another Pandemic is the best advice overall to give. I'll look forward to it.

Mediocre

This has been done before and done better. The power only goes up to 30 and not 100 like it should be. And if it does go past 30 then someone tell me because once you have to bounce the ball upwards, it just gets annoying. But I should say something that is actually helpful so..There isn't much to say on the artwork so I won't. But the one thing that really stuck out was the physics of the ball. It was really...slow? It just slugs along. And now that i think of it. Artwork wise, you should make the ball actually look like its bouncing and not just moving around the screen at a weird pace.

Another Crack House Clean-Up

Stickdeath.com has pretty much the same game. I played it years ago. They did it much better. But seeing on how that isn't helpful as a review. Here it goes..

The characters are too basic and have virtually no form and the background work is lacking from lack of detail. Also, at times the reaction time was extremely fast.

Rammer responds:

so they do, except according to the copyright on the page, it was made 2 years after i made this. meaning that Crack House Clean-Up is "another Rammer - killer." i think that game is much lower quality - it depends on conditional reflexes rather than directional, and indeed it gives you much less time than my game here does. Rammer - killer generally gives you one half of a second to react, which seems like an eternity compared to CHCU's seemingly tenth-second reaction times.

just to reiterate, this was made in 2003, when i was 12 years old, first experimenting with flash. the art isn't good because i was using a shitty mouse and i was an equally shitty artist.

Hmm

All the "particle thingys" seemed to be far too similar. Such as the candle stick and almost all the fire ones. There was no smoke given, but it still looked too similar for me to look at more than a few seconds.

They looked simple to make generally, but that doesn't mean that i know how to make them, they just seem easy. If that is the case then you should really push yourself to make something really cool.

Rammer responds:

in general, i agree. these particles are, generally, the same. however, it is hard to come up with them for creativity's sake (as opposed to necessity, like fire for a jet, or magic effects) and i assure you that the sequel will have more creative takes on the particle. particles are, indeed, very easy to make. making them behave the way you want is the tricky bit, but here's the general idea of how to make one: consistently duplicated clips with the same general behaviors, slightly randomized to make it more visually appealing. easy shit, yeah?

i don't think this deserves a 3, though. maybe not a 10, but i wouldn't think it fails as a flash.

Meh

The songs were far too short. And its been done before and better. But by no means does that make this a bad game.

Well where do I even begin? My name is Chris and I believe that Baby Jesus was kidnapped but then raised by a giant spider. Good first impression? Okay, good. I come from a small town and needed to get out. So I did, and Boston is where I ended up. =D
